My life so far:
A friend asked me a few months ago, "What have you done in your life that you're most proud of?" (we were playing a 10 questions kind of game). Isaid that time I talked Honda of America into using returnable packaging, thereby saving Lord knows how many trees. I like trees, I was a Boy Scout and an avid outdoorsman. And the time I was able to farm for my father while he was sick. Because hey, it felt really good to repay, at least a little bit, such a good man.
The thing work-wise that I enjoyed the most though, was those years at C&A when we were the first manufacturing plant in the U.S. to invite Toyota's engineers in. I got to learn their manufacturing system from the source. It was mind-altering and seriously fun.
Although having your very own brand new, state-of-the-art airbag fabric plant to play with ain't the worst thing ever (though it is exhausting).
Honestly, it's been a fantastic ride, and I suspect that I'm just getting started. Hopefully I'll update the above list many times. That's the goal.
